Makes My Blood Dance Get Frankie's to Dance and Shout

Sometimes curiosity can turn into an adventure worth taking. Toledo's just a little over an hour's drive but I never go there. Friday night I needed something different so I ventured to Frankie's in Toledo, a small bar/club that has quite a history of having bands early in their career play there. Friday night featured Makes My Blood Dance from NY, currently on a tour with Powerman 5000 and doing a few headline nights. Local synthpop/darkwave band, Pawn Pawn opened the night with a solid set of dark dance with good use of guitars. Makes My Blood Dance play music that is full of dark energy and frenetic beats. Vocalist, Ev0, is chaotically, charismatic as he whips the crowd into a cheering frenzy. Their set was very entertaining. Along with the bands some of the area's best darkwave/goth DJ's played some great music. I'll be keeping Frankie's in mind for more late night adventures.
