Sunflower Bean and Hala Rock the Night Away at Third Man Records

Third Man Records might be my favorite place for a show. A concert theatre in a kick ass record store, who could ask for more? Not only that, Third Man Records always brings the coolest bands, like Sunflower Bean! Local indie rockers, Hala, opened the show with a real fine set of tunes including a rousing cover of Neil Young's "Ohio."  Sunflower Bean is one of those bands where you do get your cake and eat it too! On record they are smooth and polished, live, the sheen comes off, they are raw, fun and full of energy. Julia's vocals really soar and there aren't enough words for Nick's amazing guitar work. The solos and fill-ins carry each song to new heights. They ended the show by greeting fans and selling their own merch making it a special night from beginning to end.
