Simple Minds with Soft Cell and Modern English Bring a Brilliant Night to Pine Knob

Simple Minds played a fantastic set of tracks that included a 12-minute, crowd singing along with "Don't You Forget About Me" along with 16 other songs that showed they haven't lost a bit of their magical touch. Soft Cell is one of my favorite bands from the 80's, singer, Marc Almond still has a captivating voice and sang some greats like "Touch," "Bedsitter," and, of course "Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go." Modern English opened with a strong but short set that included the very appropriate for the hot night, "I'll Melt With You."
