The Last Dinner Party Make Everything Epic for Detroit

Last Sunday the Last Dinner Party with Automatic put on a show that will live on in memories as a grand, good time. Held in the beautiful Jack White Cathedral, it was the perfect setting for their stage that had the looks of a greek tragedy. Automatic opened the night with their catchy, low-fi, spacey pop songs. They've played Detroit a few times and each time it is a bigger crowd they attract. The classic "Another Tear Falls" by the Walker Brothers played just before the Last Dinner Party came on stage. It was the perfect song to set the night, big and orchestral with brilliant harmonies. The first time the Last Dinner Party played Detroit they had just released their first album and it was their first tour of America. This time around it was easy to see and hear how they have grown in their sound and presence. Singer, Abigail commands the stage, dancing around and singing with full emotion on display. The rest of the band backs her up, adding their vocals along with a wide assortment of instruments. It was a fine set of songs from both their releases but it's worth noting just how large and elevated their music exists in a live setting.
