Social Distortion, Descendents and the Chats Thrill A Sold Out Fillmore

Hot off their latest release "Born to Kill" Social Distortion hit the road with the Descendents and the Chats for some rip roaring shows. Last Thursday they played Detroit's the Fillmore to a sold out crowd that let loose and rocked hard.

From Australia, the Chats got on stage at 7pm while the fans were still pouring in. Their set was fast and furious. If you blinked you might have missed it. For those that caught the blistering set they found a new band to follow.

Next, The Descendents came on with an energy that caught on and crowd surfing ensued. Their set packed in all their favorites, from their 30 second bursts of "I Like Food" to their longer, punk pop greats like "Clean Sheets."

Social Distortion entered the stage with Bowie playing in the background and stormed into their album title cut "Born to Kill". From there, they played their greatest hits, "Ring of Fire", "Mommy's Little Monster," "Story of My Life" and so on. Mike Ness in fine form, told stories about the songs and joked with the crowd throughout the night.
