Sidequesting with Lights and Softcult at St Andrews Hall

I've been reading articles how it isn't bands with hits that are filling venues, it's smaller artists with dedicated fan bases that are packing venues and I have to think this Lights show at St. Andrews Hall is all proof you need. On her "Come Get Your Girl" tour, Lights played to a near capacity St. Andrews Hall to a crowd that sang along to every song from her 15 years of music. Softcult opened the show with a set of their blissful, puck anthems. Lights show featured songs from nearly all her albums as she showed her versatility going from alternative rock to electropop to sultry dance. She even fit in a cover of Taking Back Sunday's "Cute without the E". Lights ended her set with my new favorite song "Alive Again" and came back with her keytar for a 2 song encore.
