Pixel Grip and Coatie Pop Set Their Sights on Detroit

Thursday night shows are like a bonus to the weekend. You get an extra show in and sure your maybe a little more sleepy on Friday but it's always worth it. And, last Thursday night's show with Pixel Grip and Coatie Pop at Magic Stick was more than worthy. I hadn't of Coatie Pop before tonight but now they are etched into my mind with their terrific synth pop melodies and Courtney's unique dance moves. I've seen Pixel Grip a few times so I knew we would get a good show but what we got was a great show. Their latest release Percepticide sets new heights to their dark electronic grooves. Rita's vocals simmer and soar and the backbeat of rhythm pulsates her movements. Pixel Grip gave the crowd their all then invited the crowd to join them on stage to give a little more.
