Local Bands Put on a Great Show to support LA Relief at Token Lounge

While big stars were out in LA putting on a show to support their community, we had our own version of FireAid at the Token Lounge with some great local bands. The show was headed by Elsie Binx, who donated a guitar to be auctioned off and hosted by Screamin' Scott from WCXS 94.7. Lish & Lance kicked off things with a nice set of acoustic covers that included REM's "The One I Love" and "Untogether" by Belly, plus one original. Lish is a versatile vocalist that has fronted and sings background for several local artists. Next up was Stereobabe, usually a duo but a trio tonight with added drummer, Darrin Curtis. They played a rousing set of power pop/rock covers that included songs by Talking Heads, Stevie Nicks, Cheap Trick and more. The Ardennes an anthemic metal band followed with some excellent guitar shredding. Else Binx closed the show with a special set including covers, songs they don't play much and songs with Lish on backing vocals.
