Castle Rat Plunders Detroit's Majestic Theater!

There are sold out shows and then there are Majestic sold out shows where the crowd is packed like sardines and there is madness in the air! Friday's show with Castle Rat, Unto Others and Wraith Knight was one of those shows where all were having a night that literally was majestic.

Wraith Knight opened the show with an ominous vibe of dungeon synth. Dungeon synth is usually experienced in small dark clubs so having it at a large club in front of hundreds is a win for the scene. There's not much to see onstage but the point is too feel the music ooze into your soul and paint it black.

Unto Others took the crowd in a different direction with a set of goth rock given arena rock treatment with guitar solos and the singer leading the crowd into chants. It was a great set that energized the crowd for what was to come.

Castle Rat have played Detroit before but this was a night a larger crowd got to experience what all the buzz is about surrounding them. Castle Rat put on a captivating, theatrical set with wizards, goblets, wolves and demons on stage. They backed the scenery with tight, heavy rock that has the massiveness of Black Sabbath and the energy of KISS. It was an explosive set that left the crowd spellbound.
